History overview
- 1996 – beginning of the study program Graphic technology: first undergraduate course for the graphic technology field in Slovenia;
- 2000/01 – beginning of the postgraduate study program in graphic engineering;
- 2002/03 – first generation of students of the university study program Graphic technology;
- 2004 – under- and postgraduate study programs are harmonized with the Bologna Declaration;
- 2006 – the 50th anniversary of the Department of Textiles.

Now, there are three undergraduate university study programs:
- Textile and Clothing Planning,
- Textile and Fashion Design, and
- Graphic and Interactive Communications,
and two higher-education study programs:
- Textile and Clothing Production, and
- Graphic and Media Technology.
The postgraduate study program comprises three master’s programs:
- Textile and Clothing Planning,
- Textile and Fashion Design, and
- Graphic and Interactive Communications,
and a doctoral program:
- Textile Engineering,
- Graphic Communications, and
- Textile Design.
With the acquired knowledge, our students are able to successfully continue their careers at various textile and clothing companies, research institutes, design studios, graphic, media and paper-processing companies, and design and advertising agencies.
