History overview

• 1996 – beginning of the study program Graphic technology: first undergraduate course for the graphic technology field in Slovenia;
• 2000/01 – beginning of the postgraduate study program in graphic engineering;
• 2002/03 – first generation of students of the university study program Graphic technology;
• 2004 – under- and postgraduate study programs are harmonized with the Bologna Declaration;
• 2006 – the 50^th anniversary of the Department of Textiles.

Now, there are three undergraduate university study programs:

• Textile and Clothing Planning,
• Textile and Fashion Design, and
• Graphic and Interactive Communications,

and two higher-education study programs:

• Textile and Clothing Production, and
• Graphic and Media Technology.

The postgraduate study program comprises three master’s programs:

• Textile and Clothing Planning,
• Textile and Fashion Design, and
• Graphic and Interactive Communications,

and a doctoral program:

• Textile Engineering,
• Graphic Communications, and
• Textile Design.

With the acquired knowledge, our students are able to successfully continue their careers at various textile and clothing companies, research institutes, design studios, graphic, media and paper-processing companies, and design and advertising agencies.
