About Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering
University of Ljubljana is the largest of the four universities in Slovenia with 60,000 students in 23 faculties and 3 academies.

Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering currently consists of five departments, namely of:
- Department of Geotechnology and Mining
- Department of Geology
- Department of Textiles
- Department of Materials and Metallurgy
- Department of Chemical Education and Informatics
Department of Textiles is one of the five departments of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering. The educational scheme of the Department of Textiles is made up of three verticals, i.e. textile engineering, textile design and graphic arts, which are based on science, art and modern technologies. The verticals have been developed gradually during the last 50 years. In 2004, the Department of Textiles undertook a radical reorganization of its under- and postgraduate study programs in accordance with the Bologna Declaration.
